Nice one! I always loved skating, never got too good though.. I did land some pretty cool tricks like "lazer flip" but was never able to do basic stuff like varial kickflips/ heelflips...It's weird how the world works:P

Nice it's cool we got some skate discussion going on here,I'm gonna round up some old skate stuff to post on here to, As far as skate stuff being metal, true it's not music related but the dates of both metal and skating pretty much run side by side, all my friends in the 80's skated and listened to metal.

Same here dude. As a kid i was all about skating and my Walkman cranking metal mix tapes.

Beyond awesome!!!!
LOVE this skates, pieces of history.
But for me, old school skate is very close to metal! As you said alot of old skaters listened metal. Even Metallica had their model with Zorlac Skateboards back in the day!!
And Thrasher Magazine, allways related to good old thrash/speed/hardcore!!
It's a shame today skate is mostly related to rich faggots and modern hip-hop bullshit...

yeah I know what you mean, there still some skaters I see even young guys holding it down for metal, I do see alot of preppy looking skaters now more than ever before, It's funny about perceptions though my neighborhood just turned down a free six hundred thousand dollar skate park because they thought it would bring a bad element into the neighborhood, meanwhile we have like 20 bars in the neighborhood.

Powell rereleased it only a couple years ago. Im sure you could still hunt one down. Forget about buying the original / first release like this one unless you want to spend a fuck load of money on it - even in utter shit condition.

yeah ive seen the rerelease of it..
id rather get my hands on an original one..i dont know..i dont like the noses of the re-released ones.. but yeah forget about buying one!! fuck that! you're right ..even in shitty conditions they go for $100+!!

Cheers. I should upload my current decks - still old school shapes - I hate Popsicle shapes.

do it dude! I love old school decks for sure, usually riding for cruising and dropping in the bowl and other than that doing tricks is really hard :p
I've owned a PP Tony Hawk & Mike McGill, Skull Skates Diehard, Santa Cruz Steve Olson, and Hosoi Hammerhead. All Reissues :p
Also have a deck that is similar to late 80s - early 90's shape.
Cheers!
