Slayer Battlevest, Still in Progress, Front

The front of my "unique" battle vest. When I say unique, I mean "completely not legit". I made it from some cargo pants (not quite as green as the picture makes them appear to be), and all the patches on the front are either embroidered (Iron Maiden, Danzig, and the Lilith symbol), or cut from fabric and sewn and/or hotglued (Immolation, Gallhammer, Slayer, Alestorm [not sure it got very well into the picture]). Also not seen is the snaps on the front, three of them. The thing was a pullover until yesterday when I got sick of that and added them.
I sound deprecative of my vest, but at brass tacks, although it's completely not legitimate and changes with the wind and is often a mess, I like the thing and wear it often.

I cut the inside seams of the legs out with a seam ripper and then took as four pieces of fabric. One and a half about are in a circle around my chest, I wanted it to be short but I had enough material it could've gone lower. The next two pieces I crossed diagonally over my shoulders and sewed in place. Later I cut the front open and the snaps off the pockets and sewed those too it so it's a vest, not a pullover. It isn't a complicated as it seems, but you're screwed if you use scissors instead of a seamripper.

At least you put the effort into making one. That shows your dedication. Now for the quality of the jacket, you only get 1 flame, no offense. But the dedication you have for metal defenitly earns 5 flames. I never heard of someone wanting a battle jacket so badly, that they decided to just make one =P So since I'm in a bind here, you will get 3 flames as an official rating. Well done. One day you will get a legitimate battle jacket and then you start running with the big dogs. \m/

yeah 5 for effort but still it is not the best jacket to look at.

Thank you, all. I have made a lot of changes since, I redid the Slayer patch, readhered or sewed many of the others, and added a skeleton fish, as well as a couple other patches made on sewing machine not needle embroidery that look better. Also, the thing is no longer a pullover because I added a binding on the front, which makes it look a lot more legitimate. Maybe if it's drastically better in a couple weeks I will upload more pictures. I'm progressing.
