Is it just me, or is the Bathory goat starting to become the black metal equivalent of the Misfits skull or the Rolling Stones mouth? Ok, maybe it's not THAT out there yet. But at least 8/10's of all Bathory merch feature this design. It looks really good, and is iconic as hell. But I just feel that it's starting to become a little tired.

I agree. It feels as though it's being turned into a brand. Sooner or later it's going to be commercialized like everything else iconic... which is ironic since this is the one subgenre of metal which does not mesh with commercialization in any way, shape, or form.

I agree with you guy, I also had the "The Return..." Long sleeves in the past... way less common.
But as you are saying, that goat is "THE" emblem of Bathory. So it's a quite normal thing according to me, that it is published on so much merch, isn't it?
By the way I just like it that way! And I don't really give a fuck if it's so common or not...
