Did this in 1989 with no idea whatsoever about what I was doing. Chuck Billy laughed out loud when he saw this. I figured he would either be amused or take a bite out of my forehead... caricatures is risky business!

Gene Hoglan is the man. I had 24 hours to do this shirt. I remember calling in sick to work to meet the deadline. The merchandising would only pay a portion of my fee, so Hoglan got the rest of the band to chip in since they liked the design so much. Been a LONG time since I've talked to Gene, but he is one of the funniest bastards I've ever met in my life. I love that guy.

This is the original art that was sent to Brockum to make the "Severed Heads/Dead Skin Mask" shirt. The "Slayer" is an acetate overlay. The actual product looks terrible... it looks like a retarded toddler wrote the Slayer logo with a melting purple candle.

I did the original artwork for this in 1989 and gave it to Exodus while they were on the "Fabulous Disaster" tour. When it was licensed for merchandise use in 1990, I had to replace original drummer Tom Hunting's head with his replacement, the then-relat...ly-unknown John Tempesta (far left). Vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza (center) told me he "always hated" the way I drew him. I LOVE THAT. LOL (all the way to the bank)

This jacket is seriously awesome, the metallica strip and exodus patch are sick, and that killing machine patch is something id like to own, i hear alot of old school patches are still being sold at open air festivals in europe

Yeah, I know where you guys are coming from on the white laces. They have always looked ok in person, but in the photo's they do look a little "soft" for lack off a brtter description! Maybe I'll thread it up with some Barbed Wire! Now that would be pretty cool... what you think?

I got the Killing Machine patch about 10 years ago. I had to take off a Ride The Lightning patch to put it on. I figured I had enough Metallica on there already! I do have heaps of other Judas Priest patches, lots from the 80's, and am thinking about doing a Priest only Tribute Jacket, like the Twisted Sister one I've got going on.

Yes it is - Official Party Animal patch. Ive had thing for a LONG time and i honestly cant remember where i bought it from. I know i haven't seen many around though.

Thats fuckin great man! Ive been trying to locate that Slayer RiB patch for many many years with no luck and that Metallica strip patch is fantastic \m/ I thought id seen every patch around but thats the first time ive seen that one. Very fuckin cool
