Does anybody else just sew patches over pockets?

My pockets were too small anyway, so yes.

I try to make sure the pocket is still usable

chest pockets can fuck off. too much trouble for someting i never use. inside pockets are important for me, so i Always make sure that those remain usable.

I always try to keep all pockets functional, inside, outside and also on the chest since that is where i put my music usually. Exept on my completely covered vest but i just made an extra insise pocket on that one.

Just the chest pockets on my jean jacket; never used. I'd sew on the others if I could get in there and do it so it's still usable though.

I bent a needle and sewed a few patches to the surface layer of my vest. That way you don't go through the pocket at all and can still use it.

I just thought about this... I had patches put on my sleeves; if they can do that then they ought to be able to get in the pocket as well, eh? Hmmm....
