HI I WAS WONDERING WHO HAS SEEN ANY METAL BANDS LIVE LATELY? IM GOING TO SEE IRON MAIDEN IN MELBOURNE IN FEBRUARY. THE LAST LIVE METAL I SAW WAS AT THE TOTE IN COLLINGWOOD. THE BANDS WERE CLAGG AND DREDD. BOTH DOOM STYLE METAL.
I went and saw Down...At the house of blues in San Diego. It was the best show I had seen in a while.. Phil Anselmo talked to the crowd alot even commenting on kids pantera, municiple waste, and eyehategod shirts..But the interaction made the show seem alot more intimate. Which is hard for bigger bands to do. I usually go to small metal hardcore or punk shows for that reason...
i was crowd surfinf in their last song. Ran to the side of the stage and back into the crowd, as you do. Realised it was gone. Went back to security and saw it on the floor adn asked if i could, or thy could get it for me. they said wait til the songs over. I looked at the band for a few seconds and looked back and my belt was gone. no idea how it came off.
i never was a huge fan back then , but judas priest are coming to australia in september , i got my ticket. heavy metal. \m/ !!!!! also dismember are coming too , i saw them in holland years ago , but i might get along to that too.
How was the faceless live? I love the first cd...the second one is good but could do without the clean vocals. I bet Cynic was tits. I am going to the scion rock fest in two weeks, atlanta road trip. The line up is the sickest ever:
Mastodon, Neurosis, high on fire, boris, 1349, cryptopsy, torche, nachtmystium, wolves in the throne room, baroness, harvey milk, kylesa, zoroaster, withered, krallice, toxic holocaust, skeletonwitch, rwake, warbringer, tyr and a few more....
Today is Tuesday, tomorrow I am going to UK for Children Of Bodom/Cannibal Corpse on 19/2, Ovekill, Exodus, Gama Bomb, Torture Squad on 20/2 and Megadeth, Testament, Judas Priest on 21/2.
Next one for me is Bloodstock Open Air. After that hopefully see Bolt Thrower, then Finntroll/Battlelore and then Amon Amarth...and then hopefully off to the Netherlands for Aaltjesrock 2009!
Haven't been to a gig in over a year so these shows cannot come soon enough for me! :D
i all so saw down in september at nokia theater NYC it was a fucking kick ass show i love down one of my favorite bands the melvins and weedeater were sick too
A couple of weeks ago, I saw Venom on the first show of the "South American Dates Of Hell Tour" It was fucking amazing, the band is insane, the people went insane, it was fucking brutal
Last night, I saw Kreator, Kataklysm, Evile, Lazarus AD, and Lightning Swords of Death. Some other bands I've seen this year are Behemoth, Vital Remains, Korpiklaani, Paul Di'anno, and D.R.I. I love going to local bands' gigs as well.
i saw exodus with arch enemy couple months ago. I was mainly there for exodus but arch enemy played a pretty decent set. it was an unforgettable show because durring exodus lee altus jumped down form the stage and personally handed me his guitar pick. after the show i also met jack gibson. pretty decent night haha
