Sep. 5th - He says he is open to trade + cash. I attempt to paypal him the cash amount before sending over my Obituary shirt as the other half of the trade. He refunds my paypal payment and says it will take too long for the funds to reach him (was a red flag to me but wanted to give someone the benefit of the doubt) I send my Obituary shirt and zelle him about half the cash, the remaining cash to be sent when I get the hoodie as a compromise. He says he has shipped and will get me the tracking, and never responded.
In my almost 8 years of being on this site, I decided to take a risk in good faith and send him a little more than half the money through zelle. I then sent my shirt as well and provided tracking, a few days later he had said he had sent the hoodie and would send me the tracking later.
Have not been able to get a response to him ever since. He says he had shipped Sep 6th, has been online multiple times since then.
Really unfortunate to be scammed on my favorite platform for shirts.

UPDATE 9/16 - After this post came out he had messaged me saying that he has been too busy to send out my item, but he is not looking to scam myself or anyone. I have asked when he will ship out my item and he has yet to respond. Hoping he follows through but we will see.

i am going through this right now with another user and i am so upset. there was a pin that was limited time and luckily i THOUGHT i found someone to sell it to me. he said he wanted $20 but i sent him $30 to pay for shipping and just to be nice bc i was shocked he was gonna sell it to me especially for that price. he said sep. 11th he shipped it out the week prior and i have yet to receive it! he also quit responding to messages and has been on multiple times and i have asked for a tracking number and never got one :’)

It was shipped as unregistered, there is no tracking number. It got sent back to me a bit ago and I have been super busy, especially September and looking like this month. People saying they’re “busy” doesn't mean it’s a excuse all the time. I’ve been pretty transparent with you in PM’s, and yeah my communication could be improved but you can’t blame me. It was sent out about a week ago (again) and should arrive to you soon. USPS has also been slow as of late.

Yeah this guy scammed me too, luckily I used the buyer protection on Venmo so I got my money back. I was supposed to buy his Victory Records hoodie for $100. I sent the payment and he never responded (even when it showed he was recently active.) Still to this day I haven’t gotten it because he obviously tried to scam me. After I got my money back I said to him “got my money back nice try” and he said “ok? You want a cookie?” So lame lol. Lookout for people who are like this. Poor communicators are the usual suspects.

i said what i said bc back then i had messaged you a couple times, saw you online multiple times, and you never responded. plus when an offer is made and i sent the full $ immediately, paid more than what the original offer was, you would think “hey let me get this out asap”. i understand ppl are busy and have lives, but i finally received it today (almost month and a half later). i never even mentioned your name so it’s not like i was outing YOU. there were red flags and i seen the OP was in a similar situation at the time. i’m not trying to be rude and i apologize if i am coming off that way but you said PM you when i did so i’m just explaining my side as per your previous comment on here

1st of all, I did get it out “asap” but it(weirdly)took a long time for it to get sent back because of as I told you I put tape over the stamp on accident(which I surprisingly did not know you can’t do, since I’ve done it before and had no issue.) Then it took me awhile to send it out again because I couldn’t find time and didn’t have the money for materials and/or stamps.
2nd of all, you did mention my username in another forum post. Someone sent it to me, and that’s the only reason I said that.
3rd of all, you could have just PM’d me directly with your concerns instead of explaining or outing your side of things to a scam post. I know you tried a couple times but all you said was something along the lines of “Hello!!😁🤗” so I may have glanced over it or missed it in my notifications.

i sent the $ on aug 25th and you said sep 11th you sent it out the week prior. that’s still two weeks so not really “asap”. considering you said a couple times before the 11th you were going to send it out. yes, i know ppl are busy but still. i sent extra $10 to cover shipping or anything that needed covered. if you needed extra $ for stamps i would have sent you more but i figured the $10 would be enough. if i mentioned your user in another forum why not just respond to me there? bc i honestly don’t remember. i just remember mentioning you once to a user through PM who had bought/traded from you before and he said you were reliable (this was maybe last weekend or something when i was close to just buying from someone else bc it had been a month and a week at that point) and i said okay good to know hearing from someone else. i know you have 99% great reviews but two were bad stating they never got their item. and again i did PM you directly multiple times. yes i said hi hello or whatever w smiley emojis bc i didn’t want to come off as nagging/annoying when asking about the pin as i did quite a few times. so yes i had messaged you and seen you on multiple times i would rather say that then something rude or off the wall

A book of stamps is $15, you sent $10 which is more than I would’ve even asked anyway, which I DIDNT ask you to send an extra $10 so that’s on you. I needed to come up with the other $5(which is why I work so much, just in case you need a real reason to be busy rather than just “but still”) AND still go to the post office to get them.
Anyways I’m done arguing with you. You have your pin.

I get it, but that's the kind of thing scammers are hoping for. They abuse the perception of trust and honesty. It really sucks. I'm sorry this happened to you and thank you for informing us so we never deal with this person.
