Prelude: DO NOT EVER TRY THIS AT HOME SEWING NYLON SUCKS *SO* MUCH ASS ISTG
Latest piece I finished, picked up this windbreaker from a vintage shop in Edinburgh, immediately thought about my 357 and Suffocation patches, and how their shapes and colours would look on the panels. There's also a definite overlap in the fashion of modern BDM and gangsta rap, so I think its gnarly to bring the two together like this
I've never worked with nylon before and it definitely shows😭 Carefully sewing through the outer shell and inner sleeves is bad enough with the needle and thread getting snagged on the fibres and causing knots, but I had to open up gaps where I could pin, add a backing and actually put my hands through to sew, you can see the gaps in the underarms, where the nylon sleeves and elastic body seperate.
And yeah, the backpatch is squint, but I'd sooner swandive into the Saw 2 heroin needle pit before I take off and reposition it💀💀
Do I regret this project? Not really, but if I started fresh then I'd tell myself to not worry about seperating the outer shell from the lining, and that it'd probably hold better. Super hyped to rock it when the weather heats up❤💜💙

I think this is cool, hope to see it complete someday.
But this definitely rings as top 5 most UK things on this site hahaha
Had to look up what squint meant too 🤣💜🖤💗

It is complete😅 might add some logos on the sleeves in future but for the most part I am DONE with this butthole of a jacket, I just started sewing onto denim again and it was like heaven compared to this💀💀
Thanks very much for your words though🙏 I was going to say the backpatch is skee-whiff but I realised I've never typed that out before and even less people would understand that xD
