Diy back patch made from kangaroo leather and fabric paint.

Not sure what the thing is she's sitting on...looks like a tea pot or something. I've certainly never seen anything like that before :)

I buy all my leather from Birdsall leather https://www.birdsall-leather.com.au/9LSCLw/Classic-Kangaroo-Skins/pd.php. The kangaroo leather is pretty expensive if you buy it by the whole skin. About $77 per skin and it says they are about .60 metres square roughly.
I tend to just raid their offcut and scrap bins for the kangaroo leather and pay about $18 a kilo.
Goat and lamb leather is a lot cheaper.
