This was my very first vest that I started in 2016. I took all the patches off and put them on a new piece of denim. Over the years I learned that it's better to start from the backpatch or else the patches won't line up as good. So I wanted to start over and put new patches on it. I personally hate the back but love the front.
This is as old as my first vest. Theres remnants of cloth patches, glue, and other bullshit underneath the patches on the front of mine. Had no idea what I was doing when I first made it. Its come a long way.
Its cool seeing yours deconstructed like that! Hopefully the new one looks even better!
Yes, always start from the back patch. That's how jackets historically would start out, anyway! Do agree the front side had more of a solid look than the back did. Wasn't really balanced.
