How'd you get the shirt back patch to look so good? I'm thinking about doing something similar for my vest

I cut out the design and folded the edges over on the back panal of the vest for a perfect fit. then i just ironed the folded edges (dont iron it if the design it directly at the folded edge it will melt the ink on the design) and fixed it on with some pins and sewed it on.

I Hope this helps atleast a bit i cant really explain the process in english.
