Looks like the one NWN made some years ago. If you would have seen VON live in London like i did last year, you would burn all the stuff you own by them. Go on YouTube and search a Melissa Etheridge video called Dirty secret ( or something similar). The gay looking dude in that video with the "Brad Pitt rules" shirt is Goat!!! Total shit
yeah, i read an article about von headlining a show in some scandinavian country, it might have been the annual "hole in the sky" show in Norway or something simmilar. (if i'm mistaken forgive me, i read magazines but i'm not really that knowledgable about shows that take place in different counrties. i'm not trying to sound like a big shot.) but if i remember correctly it was maybe the first show Von had played in decades and Watain, the Devil's Blood, and several other very good bands were playing before them, and when Von played they sounded like they hadn't practiced, and it was hard to recognize the songs or tell which one's they were playing, and they looked very ordinary, no blood, no satanic imagery, just average dudes who probably like comercial rap, and spent a lot of time watching whatever's on tv. they went on after bands that were covered in putrid blood, and corpspaint, and bristling with spikes, and played in a malestrom of fire and blood, and worshipped those Von demos since their mid teens, and followed that vision into adulthood and made it their life's work and their Art.
that doens't really lessen Von for me, though, i mean, those guys who were in Von when they made those demos are no longer Von. i think a lot of artists channel something that they don't dont fully understand, it just comes out of them and takes on a life of it's own and sometimes the artist is left behind and is never able to recreate it or even say anything meaningful about it. for me Burzum is kind of like that too.
