Here's another one of which I have regretful memories of looking at on the record store wall and saying "Meh" to. Perhaps the white factor didn't speak as loudly to my "Goth" presentation as the 'MEET YOUR MASTER's and 'DOPE FIEND's of the time, but I can't slap that 11 year-old upside the head at this point. One of two faithful reprints picked up by Hot Topic in the mid-oughts (see my Triple Face listing), this design actually predates the Antichrist Superstar era by at least a year. In fact, the font is consistent with the Portrait Of An American Family track list, and his makeup is that of Smells Like Children era. Like Peter Steele, Manson would often foreshadow themes and lyrics well before their respective releases. While the original 1995 Winterland versions were indeed printed on a white shirt, they used a ringer design with black collar and sleeve cuffs which has since been done away with. Whether for cost-effectiveness or that shirts today have to feel like they were woven from a cloud, who the hell knows?
