Heroes, Crimson Rider, Black in the Burn and Far From the Edge of the World are some big highlights for me. They also released an album re-recording all the old Helloween songs Roland Grapow wrote while he was in Helloween.
I have to admit I used to pu them in the "Level-C Power Metal" Category years ago before I was aware that they are from that. Plus in the last months I learned to know Jorn Lande more and by now became an avid worshipper of his voice.
I'm more fan of power metal than other styles but the style of Masterplan and the voice of Jorn is amazing, a unique voice in my opinion.
Heroes, Spirit never die. always will be song for ever!!
He is the only singer alive that comes remotely close to what Ronnie James once manifested on this earth.
I really like the mixture of Poer and classic Heavy Metal / Hard Rock, that MP present. I have to say, I only know 2 albums I think.
Yeah he is amazing, in Avantasia have good songs and do amazing job, Yean I'm not a big fan of Masterplan but I think Masterplan and Aeronauticas are very good albums, with that 2 albums they put the name of Masterplan in the history of metal around the world.
It's a shame Jorn wasn't really a big fan of the power metal element of Masterplan. As far as I remember, not doing power metal was his condition for coming back into the fold for Masterplan's fourth album before he once again faded into the ether to do his own thing.
Yeah it's really bad but you know in that time with a lot of bands with the same genre it's was good another proposal, and more in the point of view from the musician.
You should check out Beautiful Sin also. It is Uli Kusch's band from after he left Masterplan, there is even a rearrangement/rerecording of both a Masterplan and Helloween song from his time in both bands. Their one album is called The Unexpected.

Had an instant earwig, when I saw and read this.
