Thanks for letting me know! I had previously thought so yet I was unsure. Sad to be let down. But right is right. Gildan wouldnt have been in 92. Do you know who made it?
Where you bought it? I know a bulgarian and a mexican seller who have stuff like old tour shirt motives in sale. I have often bought old deadstock from the 90's, it mostly looked very good, but not this fresh. I sold a Panzerdivision Marduk Longsleeve (2019 print) a few weeks ago, i just mentioned that this album was released in 1999. The seller gave me a bad review, saying i scammed him acting like it was a vintage shirt. Which was funny, because i made a photo of the 2019 Blood Dawn copyright. So it was clearly visible that it was a new print. The whole shirt looked so hyper new, it was clearly visible even without the copyright.
Well, it's a cool looking shirt, but i hope it wasn't too expensive because the seller lied to you. It's a trend now putting out shirts with old tour motives, also official ones. A few years ago it was demo covers on shirts. Bought some too in some distros from germany, greece etc., from Cynic, Terrorizer, Morbid Angel and so on. But they were 14-15 euros, it was clear they were reprints (probably not offcial). We're not trying to kick you in the balls, just telling you you got to watch out getting ripped off and being told lies. Some years ago there were some dudes on ebay who sold self-made copies as originals of old metal demos from Darkthrone, Mayhem etc., and some even bid up to 65 euros, of what i have seen. The buyers even haven't gotten suspicious that all the inlays looked as white as a snowflake, and the type of tapes where mostly of the same type and brand. So tapes from the 2000s were used for demos from the 80s and 90s, and the paper of the inlays wasn't yellowed and always in perfect condition, not to forget that most of the tapes had labels on them with the same handwriting. But don't worry: just wear the shirts and in some years they are cool vintage bootlegs.
Yeah, these are the actual in use Gildan tags. I'm not sure if Gildan was even around already back in 1992. Also, even if this would be a 30 year old deadstock, it looks way too fresh. He just upped the same thing as a t-shirt, also shiny as a baby's bottom.
Yeah I was very suspicious of it being from 1992. I was just going of what the seller told me. However I didnt pay too much so it wasnt a loss as these tshirts are still very good looking.
