Silencer - Death, Pierce Me

Limited pic-disc run of Silencer's first and only album. Simply one of the, if not THE best suicidal black metal album ever. Used to listen the hell out of this shit when I was a teenager. But Silencer's pretty much the only band that's stood the test of time for me. In short, this album is dark, brooding, unsettling and quite creative. I would recommend this to anyone not familiar with it. If not for anything else than to just experience it.

Sadly my edition is missing one of the cards.

I've grown to appreciate the album more and more, but it's not even close to my favorite for this stance on black metal/emotional song creation, that being said, the fact you have this Silencer on Lp is really rad---a very haunting album none the less, makes you think~ I tend to gravitate towards some of these bands, but there's so many similar sounding one's, it can be a bit tricky to stand out, I think Silencer managed that on both an aesthetic level and a musical level...
I'm sort of at the same level of respect for a few LifeLover lp's and Shining, though I can trace my original tastes to stuff like Strid, Forgotten Woods, Forgotten Tomb, mutilation, etc...

A band in a vein somewhat like this, but perhaps more on the morose and ethereal sound of things would be "Ghostbath" check out their first full length album, I promise you won't be let down and will at least find something interesting?

....hmmm I never talk to you as a user, but there used to be a guy on here with a similar name that I think had some Lord Belial merch, anyway..just a random memory

Shining is pretty good. Although I've never worshiped them. Albums like IV: The Eerie Cold and V: Halmstad had a huge impact on my teen years and I still find them to be enjoyable pieces of music. Livelover I don't know about, to me they just sound like a poor mans version of Woods of Infinity. But I haven't listened to much besides Pulver so maybe I'm missing their best moments.

Yeah, Ghostbath have been on my list for a while. Somehow they seemed interesting. Might've been the kooky name. But I definately need to check them out.
I have a Enter the Moonlight Gate long sleeve up here. Must've been the first thing I posted. Ah, good times.
