haha you don't have to be jealous, you have killer stuff too..... as for cd's; i think 200 - 300 including promo stuff..... most of it i've lend to a friend of mine; i think its about time to get it back.....

in very early days...more or less all shops here (where i live) stoped to sell LPs ...ordering from other countrys was a pain in the ass and nearly impossible. Even if we have ordered from Germany..we had to drive to the customs duty office(!!) at the border of Austria/Germany to get our package. We had to show our passport, personal infos..and and and..open the packe with the guys at this office and so on.. ..because they didnt let the package deliver into the country...rly sad thing. Not to talk about the other countrys! lol
..long story making quick: no shops here who sold Vinyl - ordering WAY TO MUCH EFFORT - ..and i end up to buy CDs for years...

thats really fucked up... i never had those problems here... there were plenty of distro's with mailorder catalogues i still could order vinyls and we had plenty of recordstores with good second hand stuff.... one big advantage being from the Netherlands was of course the fact that Roadrunner was a Dutch label; that made a lot available easy here....

oh yeah..thats true. Well..here where i live Carinthia(Kärnten) in Austria..all the big Markets killed all cool/small Record-Shops. We had great shops here..as u can see on all the old stuff i can call my own.
But companies like Media Markt / Saturn / Cosmos ..totaly killed all the small shops :( ..and we were left behind with CD-only...
btw...thats more then 20 years ago...and it didnt changed..we still dont have any cool record-stores..everything i have..comes with the mail!!

Ben er zelf wat mee opgegroeid, vind het oprecht een mooie verzameling! Dat zul je ongetwijfeld al vaker gehoord hebben maarja. :)

Ja, je mag van geluk spreken. Bring back the good old CHEAP days please haha. Ik ben spijtig genoeg een generatie te laat geboren maar ik probeer wat te sparen om echte gems in mijn verzameling te krijgen. En het uitkijken naar het bezitten van zulke lp's kan ook leuk zijn ;)

ja, de jacht is net zo leuk als het bezit... nou is alles tegenwoordig een paar muisklikken verwijderd.... een platenbeurs of stoffige 2e hands platenzaak is veel leuker... om onverwacht een pareltje op te duiken waar je 'm niet verwacht had... en dan meestal voor een leuker prijsje als op ebay of zo...

Inderdaad, maakt het zoveel spannender om niet naar iets expliciet op zoek te gaan. Gewoon een 2de hands platenzaak binnenlopen en je vind ongetwijfeld een aantal pareltjes voor een spotprijsje. Ben ook geen voorstander van alles via internet te zoeken. ;)

ja... heb heel wat uurtjes in obscure winkeltjes door gebracht en tussen duizenden en nog eens duizenden platen zitten zoeken .... vorige week nog op die manier een orginele Lärm/ Stanx split in perfecte staat gevonden... da's toch wel een kik om zoiets er uit te vissen
