I didn't know they had an international presence, very cool! I've got an original blacklight poster from the 70s of Freewheelin' Frank smoking a joint, I'm sure you know the one haaha
My parents certainly raised an eyebrow when I first wore it as a 13 year old (!) but they understood the use of it in metal culture with bikers and Motorhead etc. No swastika in the middle either so it didn't cause outrage too much!
They are characters from an underground counterculure hippie comic that started in the late 60s. It was for adults and full of drugs, drugs and more drugs with a bit of satire thrown in.
Thanks for the info! I found a sticker of them here in Austria but couldn't figure out what the freak Brothers are all about. But drugs and satire sounds fun :)

These are quite cool! I especially like the bat winged skull and the Nuclear Disarmament ones. The R. Crumb one is neat as well.

Cheers mate!
Freak Brothers just about made it to the UK but not many people here knew about them.

It almost looks like a German original.

What are the freak Brothers? A band? A fanzine?
