Hi the album was released in 1977 but I think that this patch dates from 1983-84, which would be around the time Meatloaf released his 'Bad Attitude' album. I bought this patch with two other patches (AC/DC Flick of the Switch and DIO Holy Diver) from a seller who bought them together back in the day for a vest but they never sewed them and jin the end put them in a box and forgot about them.

I don't think you can ever be 100% certian for dates as most patches and badges from this time don't have any copyright info, but this seems to hold together.

Yeah i asked because my friend wants to trade with me and i saw that some guy on tss has the same one and he put the year 1989 so i was like whaat i thaught that this patch from early 80s

Yeah I didn't put a date on my patch as I am not certain , it could have been reissued in 1993 when Bat Out of Hell was released but other Bat out of Hell back patches from 1993 have copyright info printed on them. There is no real way to be certain best thing is to go with your gut feeling.

With some exceptions, you don't start seeing the "Made In England" stamping on the back of patches until the early 90s. Most of the goodies I have from the 80s or older have a more 'netted' backing material. Not a universal rule of course but the backing material is a good way to gauge a patch's issue date.

Interesting fact. Thanks for that. I always wondered about different patch backings and put it down to different producers.
