Iron Maiden: German Patch
Does anybody have more info on this? I recieved it as a gift from DEAD MOON and it's super cool, features the "Peace Of Mind" Eddie set against the German flag. The text directly trainslates to "Chains Broken Unit Spoken", do any of you German speakers have a better interpretation of this? I suspected it was a fan club patch but I really don't know.
Weaving methods and border point to this being a vintage item from the 80s / 90s. I plan to sew this to a bomber jacket for when I head to Germany and Austria in the autumn!

Cool, unique and a contemporary document. I guess this points to the re-unification of West Germany and the German Democratic Republic in 1989/1990 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_reunification).

I was just thinking about this patch when you commented! Thanks for the history lesson oldcoffinspirit. Reunification was a very interesting time from the first hand accounts I've read, lots of parties in abandoned buildings and a thirst for any and all culture from the west. I've seen that Megadeth design too, didn't know that this was in the same vein.
