deep purple patch 1979-1980?

this striking patch is featured on the classic plastic like backings with tighter weaving from the UK commonly found in the late 70s - early 80s.
what’s makes this one so special is that it’s a dark purple logo on a lilac backing which is the opposite of the more common lilac logo on a dark purple background! making this a rather unique patch to own! picked up for dirt cheap and as a avid deep purple fan, this is a peak staple in my ever growing collection!
