Man ! Simply Amazing ! I love ' The Morning After ' Promo. Is that the famous ' In - Store ' Cardboard display ? It looks like it from the shape of it. Just an awesome tribute to one of Germany's finest. I think we both better get our autographed ' Chemical Invasion ' posters framed ASAP !

I think you're right. That is probably the cardboard display used in record stores to promote the album. It's a lot thicker and heavy duty compared to your regular poster. There's a lot I would love to frame, but I have too much to pick and choose from. That's going to be a tough task. Cheers to one of Germany's most consistent, fun, and best Thrash Metal bands around!

Awesome collection man! Very underrated thrash band, often overlooked.

Thanks! Tankard is truly one of the best in the Thrash Metal genre. They're probably the funnest band around. I hope to see them live one day. Too bad I missed them at Maryland Deathfest a couple of years ago. Hopefully, there will be a next time.

> They're probably the funnest band around.

IMO,that's a large part of why they were never reached the same levels of success as their contemporaries such as Sodom, Kreator et al.
It's very easy to at first glance regard them as a piss take band with a one dimensional gimmick about something as mundane as drinking beer.

I guess because of that, people didn't take them to serious, but for me, it's always about the music first. The lyrics always came secondary for me. For example, I can't understand a lick of French, but I love bands like Sortilege and ADX to death because of their music. Anyway, Tankard doesn't always sing about drinking beer (though it is the main topic of choice), they also wrote lyrics on politics, social issues, and other real-life stuff. Just listen to The Meaning of Life, Stone Cold Sober, Two-Faced, and The Tankard if you want to get clear examples.

So true man! I love bands don't take themselves too serious, but can be if they choose to. I actually live in Maryland, so I really do hope they come back to The Maryland Deathfest!

Have seen them last year at Wacken Open Air. For me best act together with Sacred Reich. Have had so much fun at both shows. Both Bands more than underrated.

Same here. That’s why I love them so much. Yeah, hopefully they come back to the U.S. and play one of the Deathfests (California would be nice since I’m only 45 minutes from Oakland). I wouldn’t mind flying to Maryland though. I was there in 2010 and it was great. They’ve kind of went down hill in recent years.

I yet to go to any festival in Europe. It would be nice to go one day. Tankard, especially, is underrated!

Yeah, Baltimore is very dangerous nowadays. I really want to go to Germany to see some of the Teutonic Big 4 thrash bands. Maybe even see some of the underground thrash bands like Space Chaser, Traitor, and Mutard!

And another very impressive collection!
I would give a huge pile of money to have seen that Deathrow/Tankard gig!!!

Same here! It would be killer if Deathrow reunited, but it doesn’t seem likely. They are one of the few Thrash bands that didn’t get back together. Maybe it’s better that way.

Thanks again!
