Skyclad interview in 'Transcending The Mundane' zine #15

Now let's be honest, Skyclad have been interviewed in magazines the world over and you could fill this site with copies of published material given half a chance.

However, leaving aside the mainstream international press there is the odd interview that pops up in independent zines that's well worth covering here, simply because many fans of the band won't have seen them before.

Here's one of those: Transcending The Mundane issue #15, a respected if semi-obscure US periodical. Some online references to this zine date this issue to 1996; however, as the interview with Martin covers the band's 'Folkémon' album it must be from no earlier than he year 2000.

Anyway, an interesting interview with the maestro nonetheless and one I hope you'll agree worth sharing here. And yes, I know a host of other bands are interview and reviewed within these pages ... but I'm a Skyclad fan, ok?!

Good day, I'm Brett and I do all things Transcending the Mundane. Thank you so much for sharing this interview, it must have been from 2000 or 2001. I did this as a print magazine from 1999-2006, got up to 30 issues. I returned this January and now doing it as a digital publication. I long for the days of print magazines, so what I'm doing now is releasing a new issue the 1st of each month, doing it like a magazine layout, but it's all digital. Please check out www.transcending-the-mundane.com for literally over 1,000 pages of metal from this year and www.transcendingthemundane.bandcamp.com to download any of the cd compilations from 1999-2002 for free. There are a ton of underground metal bands of all styles from back then. Thank you!
