It's still strange to me how little press Sabbath was receiving in those days. Headless Cross was promoted more than Eternal Idol, at least here in North Carolina. I remember seeing Eternal Idol for the first time in a record store (Camelot Music) and thinking, "is this my Black Sabbath?". Everything looked so different at that point.

I was going to say, that had to have been an odd time: Metal and hard rock being at its absolute commercial peak, yet the band who started it all getting lost in the shuffle.
