Was that the 86 tour the Cliff passed in Sweden? It was Sept 27 '86, I wonder if those tour dates are that of the same tour:..?

Yep it's the tour that the great Cliff Burton died whilst on. I saw them in Birmingham on Sept 20th 1986, it was a fantastic gig.

Wow not many can claim have caught them live yet alone during his last week in this planet. Very eerie but something to remember and keep his spirit alive by sharing that experience. Did you recall if "call of the ktulu" was on the set list for that show? Hes is top form for that one (I could say that about numerous tracks, but that always stood out.)

No worries with fanboy stuff - I am the same with Cliff Burton. No “call of kthulu” in the set that day but there was a killer bass solo. I was right at the front and got a “thumbs up” from Cliff at the end of the set.
