HEATHEN !!!!!! Another amazing band and sizzling debut album ! I listen to this from time to time. Just a sound that could only come from the Bay area. Man, that acoustic break in ' Open The Grave ' just has me drifting in an emotional trance back to '87. It's a shame they never really exploded on the scene. They certainly are talented enough. Those guitarists were so damn overlooked. They were phenomenal on ' Victims of Deception '. That was another underrated album. What a crime !!! Wonder if there's a poster for that one ? Anyhow, this was an entry I too was happy to do.
I think Heathen and Laaz Rockit are the most underrated of all the Bay Area bands. Epidemic and Sadus as well.
They’re amazing live and Dave White is really cool to the fans. He took me backstage to get that “Breaking the Silence” flat signed by the rest of the band. Those two albums are always on rotation at my place or in my car. Really great band that should’ve of been bigger. I’ll put them above Testament and Death Angel any day. Did you check out the last album they put out last year?
Man, That's killer you got to meet and hang out with those guys. Would have loved to been there. I wouldn't argue you one bit placing them in that pecking order. Hell yes ! I definitely checked out ' Empire of The Blind ' I was cranking that for like two weeks straight. I'm sure you were anticipating a tour/concert until Covid hit ! What a fucking drag !!!
Testament's ' Titans of Creation ' is awesome as well.
Yeah, it’s always great when the bands you love are cool in person. I need to catch up on a lot of new releases from some of my favorite bands. The last Sodom album I heard was from 2006. Time to play catch-up.
