I think that's a horrible gimmick and completely kills the meaning of catching a guitar pick at a show. Throwing fistfuls of them from a bucket so that everyone gets them, ehh, no thanks...

I'm fine with the "picks" and people still had to fight for them. But the beachball thing Metallica did on their tour was just horrible.. People went batshit crazy for getting the huge ones and then held them in the air so no one behind them could see anything.
