How much do square patches go for these days? Square is cooler. Was 200 not long ago. Back patches going for 1K now? Used to be 400-500.

Honestly depends on the seller the squares they try to sell for 200+ And the backpatch they try to sell for 700+ or more

Have a square one myself and that does look solid on my jacket. But 700 for back patches? Most metalheads can't even put together jackets that would justify such a cost for a back patch.
