Type O Negative hat

Grabbed the new "Gear" snapback from Roadrunner Records. Gotta say I am a dissappointed with the quality. The other Yupoong snackbacks I own are made out of a thicker material and they keep their round shape; this one feels like it's made out of canvas and wears more like a 'dad' hat, which are not my style. Still, the subtle black on black design is very cool, just wish it was made better!

It's not poor quality, it is a different style/type of hat.

Snapback hats by Yupoong come 2 ways:

1) Structured - firm, keeps shape and has 6 panels/sections to the top of hat

2) Unstructured - Do not keep shape (like a "dad's hat) and have 5 panels (the front panel with band logo is not divided in half with a vertical seam down the middle)

Usually the Structured style is slightly more expensive approx $30 vs. $25.

Some bands and brands offer both styles. They may have been sold out of structured hats or they may have never offered them because they didn't order that style from Yupoong.

One benefit to the Unstructured style is that they can be washed in a machine more easily.

I did not know this! Thanks for the knowledge Jay. Next time I got hat shopping I'll make sure to verify it's a structured hat before I order. Good to know they are easy to wash, at least.

You got it bro! I prefer the structured hats better too but it is getting really hard to find any kind of Type O hats these days, so you are lucky to have that one. Very cool!!
