So I've been thinking about how to make it easier to trade/sell here, currently it's all sorta based on private messages which is OK i guess but difficult for new comers or if you just want to make an offer
thinking of a button(s) at the top of the item if its for trade or sell
[Make an offer] and [ Offer a trade ]
then the owner of the item can reply to the offers
in the case of offering a trade, you can select the items you will swap OR let the person you a trading with choose from you
also i'm thinking of adding an icon to the bottom of items that are trade/sell (when you view them by the band list with all the thumbnails)
Why not hold the old system? This seems to me a lot of work just for some new users which are here to buy stuff and don't want to show of anything. And how many people do you think will have an advantage from those new buttons? And to much buttons will again overexert a lot of people here and you have to do the explaining all over again.
Last one sounds cool, maybe like red = not for sale or trade, green= trade or sell , yellow=trade, blue=sale
Yeah understand the point, I had also to wait a week before I could send message to get hold on some patches, offcourse I was too late. And I understand that it can annoy people to put constantly you emailadres under te picture. :p
Maybe you can automatically lock the sell/trade section for new users for a week till they can send personal messages? On a Dutch metalforum we got a nonsense section that's automatically locked for users with less than 100 posts. Just to make sure they really want to talk about Metal.
