Well, I left much empty space in the front with a good reason. I left the pockets and the buttons usable, and it couldn't be if pacthes covers everything in the front. I needed a battlejacket what I can use for the practical thingsn as well, like a normal denim jacket for the "street" and normal weekdays wearing.
Your layout is fine. The jacket looks a bit like a sponsered motor racing jacket. Whether patches should be on a grid or not and how dense they should be is just personal taste and telling others how they should design their vest is pretty un-metal.
I understand both opinions, for which they are :)
The "fridge" look comes in my opinion for the sake of the so many different shapes of the patches you have used.
But still front is a mess in my opinion, but If YOU like it, its most important thing!
You ate right, I didn't mind the shapes of the patches during the collection. I focused on the rarity of the patches, collect as rare patches as I could. Also, keeping the genres was important for me as well, I mean I wanted to collect the patches of Hard Rock and traditional Metal bands mainly.
Yes, lots of cool bands on here. Avenger, Raven, Acid, Dealer, White Spirit.. great taste! I like how it's red, you dont see that too often. Plus I 100% agree on what you said about being able to use the pockets and buttons! Edit: there are no damn laws on how a jacket should look like. If you like it, wear it with pride.

Totally. There are no rules! It’s your jacket, the thing that matters most is that you like it. And definitely, wear it with pride. 🤘

Of course I do it, thanks!

Thank you. Yes, I tried to make something unique, I mean red jacket, and rare patches/bands, in the vein of the classic hard rock and metal.
