I think this would look better with those thicker chains you used on your previous leather. Those chains look like hobby store children’s trinkets that would break lol. My bulldog wouldn’t look too imitating with that on.

Fair point and good suggestion. I made this long before my other vest and haven’t done anything to it (or worn it much) for quite some time. I got the chains on this at Lowe’s but I think they were more for light fixtures. I do have a lot of the thicker chain left over.

Sick jacket. Im starting my own Black Metal leather jacket. Would you recommend a minimalist approach or fill the entire thing? I want what would look the best, since I havent done a leather vest fill out before

Thanks! I personally like to keep my leather vests somewhat minimal in terms of number of patches or logos. I have seen leather vests and jackets with many logos painted or patches on it, and those look good too. I like when painted leather vests have a main design or logo painted on the back, kind of how a backpatch would be. I highly recommend getting sewing needles made specifically for leather if you plan on going with patches.
