Iron Maiden The Clairvoyant's blue Battle Jacket

This is my recently completed Battle Jacket.

It's been an ongoing project for about a year (since the Maiden England '13 O2 gig when I saw one being worn that inspired me to create my own) and was finished just in time for Sonisphere '14 at Knebworth (UK) - where it was very well received! - although I've actually changed it again since that show!

It's very 'Maiden-centric' - UP THE IRONS! - although not exclusively Maiden. I've tried to mix up the bands a bit.

I don't have a rule about having to have seen a band live before adding a patch of theirs to my jacket, although I don't just buy patches for the sake of them - I have to like the band and listen to their music.

I chose and then sought out my back patch, which is an original 80s one, based on my back tattoo of Iron Maiden's The Clairvoyant that was completed last December (check out my profile pic). I liked the idea of symmetry between my skin and the jacket I wear over the top of it!

I've deliberately gone for a blend of both Old School and New School patches - basically whichever ones I thought were coolest and would work the best together.

It's taken me many hours to complete and then complete again and again, so I hope you like it!

Thanks! That's actually my latest addition - I had to move the 'Birth, School...' and 2 Maiden ones above it upwards by about 2cm to fit it in! Typical... Ha ha!

Most of the bands here I love, and I guess I can't say much because I have 13 Maiden patches on my vest but don't you listen to other groups? Not trying to sound mean, but if you're gonna have a vest mainly of one band but with some patches of other bands, wouldn't you include as many of you other favorites as possible instead of about 4?

Nice looking vest mate. Can't have enough maiden. And that round Metallica patch makes up dor that BFMV hahahqhqh. Nah too each their own. I hate BFMV but I do listnen to alot of other shit people hate haha. I do have to confess I once sang/played Tears don't fall with an old band of mine for my girlfriend on her birthday since she is a big fan. And saw them live 4 times.
Oh and it's not on your jacket but I'm still gonna comment here, but that tattoo on your back is fucking awesome.
