This is the leather that I have worn every cold day since I was 17. I'm 40 now, and it's still in great shape.

The Armored Saint pin was given to me (noone would believe the story if I were to tell it). The Dio pin was purchased at the concert on the "Strange Highways" tour.

The epaulets at one time had 4 1" spikes and one 2" spike per side. When I moved to Wyoming (cowboy country - lived there a year and a half), I took the spikes out and replaced them with rivets, which I actually like almost as much.

The story on the Armored Saint pin is:

I saw Armored Saint on the Symbols of Salvation tour at The Empire Concert Club in Cleveland, Oh. After the show, my friend and I met Joey Vera outside the club. He was wearing this pin on his denim jacket. I asked him about it, because I wanted to buy one but didn't see any on their table. He said that at that time, the pin was a prototype, and they hadn't had them reproduced yet. I must have looked disappointed, because he pulled the pin off of his jacket and handed it to me. I put it on my jacket, where it has been ever since.

Thanks! I sadly no longer own it, but I have passed it down to my daughter, and she wears it proudly. It doesn't exactly fit her properly, but she loves it, and it's still in the family.
