This is my back design for now, nothing has been sewn on yet, except for the Sex Pistols one, still waiting for some other patches to put on the back. Please give me your opinion/ feedback and what to do or not to do. This is my first battle jacket ever and I don't really know how it is supposed to be.
Really wide range of bands, not many people around willing to show it like you are. Go with it if it's what defines you. The Doors patch is the eyecatcher on this surely.
Haha, I'm also a huge fan of The Doors, Entombed & Darkthrone. Some people can't get that, but who cares, it's bad only for them..the circular one with Morrison's face is awesome!
i would say:
the jacket is perfect if you think it's what you want it to look like... it's your own personal thing... i would appreciate if people would say to put a patch somewhere... but i would not change it if it's not what I want :D
it looks cool!!
Bedankt gast, inderdaad gaat het om wat ik zelf ervan vind. Ik heb een paar kleine changes gemaakt, maar alleen met de patches aan de bovenkant, dus boven me bp. Zal een pic zetten als hij helemaal klaar is. Peace
great bands - i love the mix of different genres.so its very specially & own. i do the same eg. death, truckfighters or pearl jam. 4 flames only because of the printed patches. ;)
Well... I appreciate that you put what you actually like on the vest, and not just "stay true" to metal, but it just looks way too awkward having some of these bands mixed up.
Also, too much printed stuff, for my taste, but that might be because you can't get a lot of woven patches where you come from?
Hey man, thanks for sharing your opinion. How do you mean that it looks awkward? Well, most of these patches were bought in a shopping mall in Colombia, I went there during christmas vacation. They sold them for real cheap, 2 patches for more or less $3, calculating from their currency to US dollars. Other ones I got with cd's or I got them from a friend. And I don't have a Paypal (no creditcard) so I can't order from websites. That's pretty much the reason. I am getting a Pantera official woven patch though and I'm trying to fix a Paypal through my parents. Of course woven and official patches are cooler than bootleg printed ones, but I bought them cos that was the only way of getting 'em and I really wanted to make a battle jacket. Peace man, thanks for your opinion, let me know your further opinion.
Well, I can't really put it into words... I just think it simply doesn't fit, like the Darkthrone backpatch and then The Doors and Led Zeppelin patches below... they just have different vibes that don't mix well, in my opinion.
I totally understand, it's not always easy to get patches, I for instance can't really order patches from abroad myself, so I have to settle with patches I can find from Finland or make myself. I'd rather get less generic patches but I'd prefer not to do it through my parents.
Yeah man, they're totally different styles and vibes. Personally, I can mix the vibes pretty good, for example listening to Transilvanian Hunger at one moment and the other I'm listening to LA woman, y'know? I'm trying to get more official woven patches.
Ik weet het nog niet zeker, ik zat te denken aan een kant black metal bands en aan de andere thrash/death en wat anders. Zit nog te twijfelen overnhet weghalen van de front pockets en de knopen en knoopgaten
Thanks man! I switched some stuff around here and there since I posted this picture. I didn't do a lot of sewing though, haha too lazy for that. If you want we can make a deal with the Priest patch?
Niice battle vest bro! I dig the diversity in the bands you have on there not a lot of people do that these days! I thought my jacket was diverse ha. So far I got Satanic Warmaster, Death Angle, Pantera and Man Is The Bastard on it. No where near as diverse as yours man 5/5

Is that a CC "The Bleeding" patch up top? Never seen it before and it does not look very official.
janbant on
Yes, it is and it is indeed not official. Some patches are offcial, others not on this jacket. Not sure whether or not to put it on my jaket.
