Megadeth Authentic 1980s Metal Vest
This vest is a true original created around 1985, back before the term "Battle Vest" was utilized. It has 30+ years of authentic wear and tear and has survived through many years of living the heavy metal lifestyle! It is pictured in it's original form with very few patches (they were hard to come by back then). I am trying to decide whether I dare alter it by adding more patches or leave it as-is and begin making a new Battle Vest.

Thank you for all the comments! I'm leaning toward NOT altering this one in any way, as many of you have suggested. I appreciate the validation of that thought! There is something special about having it in it's originally created form. Probably would be better to start a new one with a new jacket since any patches I get ahold of, at this point, would also be new.

liking your vest Scaryterri . i believe the cutting of the sleeves was demographic as I thought, me or anybody else I knew didnt rip any of the sleeves off. That megadeth back patch came out in 85 86. I actually posted my old jacket. check it out. Oh yeah almost forgot DONT FUCK WITH IT!!! its a reflection of your youth and like mine its original and like mine its pre-internet.... You live in kentucky and probably didnt have acess to alot music stores over there were as I live in a big city had 5 different one to go to back then, now most of them are all but extinct.

Oh, I agree, and would go one step further to stay that both band's 4th albums were great.....And Justice For All and Rust In Peace. Loved those! After that, not so much.

Oh I just assumed Rust... would be Mega's 3rd album, but you're right - it's #4, & it's their best one! About Justice, I think it's good, but not as good as their first three. But still a masterpiece compared to what came afterwards...

I have already collected a few true vintage patches for some very good bands.....trying to find more. I may just have to add them to this vest since I can't seem to find another jacket/vest that I am happy with. Thanks for the compliment!
