Well, fuck. It all started for me way back when in the early 90´s with the first record I ever bought, it was ... And Justice For All and after that came some mix-tapes with Possessed, Sadus, Massacre, Cannibal Corpse and what have you.
I sort of skiped the whole Heavy Metal deal, and went right in to Thrash/Death-country and never looked back. Not that I don´t enjoy some Judas now and then (who doesn´t) but I didn´t start out with it, like so many of my friends.
Everyone I knew back then was eighter into that or Maiden or punk/hardcore. So alot of my searching went through zines/tapetrades instead. Sort of miss those pre-internet days, when you never really knew what you would end up with. Not bitching though, love that today, within a few seconds, I can get ahold of some rare EP from a bootleged live session recorded with a potatoe with some fancy googleing
Most of it, local, small venues here in Gothenburg.
