Awesome.I have the most recent edition Bought it at Edgy.Great album and band.To bad Morfeus left Limbonic Art.The symphonic parts were all done by him.
Yeah Morfeus is a genius, I still kinda like the last two albums but it's just not the same anymore. Morfeus and Heks (from Obtained Enslavement) are my two favorite keyboardists in all of black metal
Don't forget to mention Nicola Trier (Morrigan) and her bands Aeternus and Obtained Enslavement.Besides that her appearance always has been that of superhot BM babe.hahaha
Yeah she's great I know, she'd probably be in my top 5 or 10 keyboardists, along with others like Jonny Maudling (Bal-Sagoth), Saturious (Nokturnal Mortum), and Witchlord (Polish bm Arkona)
Yea'still need to get that one.I am a large fan of their first three albums. After that they suddenly swift to Death Metal influences and got bad in what they were doing. The keyboards was a large part of their repetoire.I believe Sarcana did also live session for a period of time for Dimmu Borgir.
In a few comments you guys mentioned superb musicians. BTW, the only Death Metal release of Gehenna is Murder. WW and Unravel go back to black metal, but not their old style, more like if DHG, Ondskapt and Satyricon procreated an hybrid son.
I am a great fan of Gehenna first 3 albums. After that they changed drastically, for the worst i must say.I am not the only one thinking that.Also.live they got a very bad feedback from visitors. With SANRABB only as original member left, and Dolgar as Music writer left the band i am afraid for the worst.
I am sorry you didn't understand. Metal Archives does not show specific song writing credits. She has no writing credits on any Obtained Enslavement music...only a session muso. Credits on Aeturnus albums are very few and If a band is not willing to say who wrote what.. imo just another chick who plays piano.
I understand. But's the only credits you can find out.On the albums are nothing in credits.Soulblight has been rereleased on lp,but even there it shows nothing of credits of Morrigan or anyone else. It's very limited...
On Metal Archives Morrigan is stated as official member in the Soulblight lineup.Or else she would be under the section '' Guest/session Musicians'' which she isn't.I believe she wrote along on the music. At least a large part.
Haha!. Musically nothing credited. Some lyrics on track 5 were attributed to her later. But hey, I am sure the royalty companies have it wrong. Please make sure you post a screenshot of her comment...cause dang I wana see this! .. Lets go Facebook users.
Oh an no no.. not influence,..actually wrote the music that is attributed to Heks.. you can fan boy another time.
Talking about Emperor.Their epicness also shows in the track '' Opus A Satana'' .The music itself could be taken straight out a soundtrack for a movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjwMEQ9nfj4
Ok...
So you guys are talking about gehenna... let me say muy fav album from them is... adimiron black :)
There... i said it... probably will get crucified
Hahaha
Cheers!
Its an amazing album. I love it... but then, I love every album Gehenna has put out except Murder. Contrary to the other guys I do like the new sound as well. Just listening to the opening riff/beat of Flames of the Pit makes me instantly headbang.
The only track i like from Gehenna is ''The crucified one'' but already on there you can hear the heavily inspired Death Metal influences,as dropped the keys at same time.I came across the track on the Moonfog 2000 compilation.I never bothered to check out the full length afterwards. The track appears on the album ''Murder''

I like everything she did.You also had Sarcana (Gehenna) which did an incredible job on ''First Spell''.

She's awesome, although I prefer her work in Malice, even though First Spell is fucking great too

SARCANA was really great with Gehenna.Too bad she never went solo on the keyboards ala Mortiis.I bet it even would turn out good, and a success!

She appeared on ''Soulblight'' with Obtained Enslavement.

And while we're on the topic of female keyboardists, Daniela P. from Obsidian Gate is fucking incredible as well

Yea' '' Symphony in Moonlight and Nightmares'' has to be my alltime favorite track of theirs. That intro alone :O

A song I enjoyed to listen while playing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Limbonic Art and Emperor are perfect as it's "alternative" soundtrack.
