Darkthrone's 2006 historic album (in the sense that this is when they changed their sound) on shark-grey vinyl released by Peaceville Records :D
They were the masters of black metal, here they became the masters of black/punk heavy metal!
And even though they may have lost a few fans in that process, they remain the definition of pure artistry... they make music as an outlet for themselves. THAT is what real artists do. You can bitch and moan about there never being a Transilvanian Hunger part II all you want, but there are plenty of fans out there willing to come along for the ride. So no one needs you!

I like these new Darkthrone albums almost as much as the old ones. I don't have "Dark Thrones and Black Flags" or "Circle the Wagons" yet, but I will buy them for sure, as I I've heard the songs from those albums and I like them very much.

Same here, I like the new ones almost as much as the old ones too. I can only say good things about Circle the Wagons, it's great!
However, I have not been able to buy "Dark Thrones and Black Flags" yet. I would have, but I didn't find any for sale this time around (at least not where I usually purchase records). I was pretty bummed out about that, but hey I bought F.O.A.D. and this one, and also have Hate Them on the way (plus another non-Darkthrone related album). So it's all good.
In the future I would like to buy it though, I've heard it online and it slays.
Anyway, thanks for the flames man!
