The next two are black original borders, and all original the last image.
I think in doing trade in one of the RIB black border, for something that is looking or interesting.

How can you tell if the red border is boot?

Just take a close look at the two versions, then you see more details in the original which differ massively in comparison to the boot.
The border especially is this new age slim, very tight sewed one, which these old vintage patches don't have, they used to be much more widely sewed back in the day.
This is the cool thing about this page: when in doubt, just look 'em up here, you will very likely find an original and can compare it to anyhting you are planning to purchase! When still in doubt, there are many collectors here around, who will very likely help you in any regard (to avoid paying expensive prices on bootlegs), just ask! Cheers!
