Possibly. It'd make it one of the more nicely crafted boots of the period that I know of - the weaving work is amazing. I'm still dubious wether it's official or not.

Has the exact same backing, very thick, and not to great quality.
Definitely unofficial, but I still kinda like them haha

Well, I can't see the backing on yours, can you upload it? As said above, it's possibly unofficial indeed. The only other patch I know of with the same backing is most probably unofficial by the way. It seems to have been used by at least one manufacturer around 1980-1983 in the UK. But I'd be curious to see more patches with the said backing to get a better overall view about officiality.
