The shop I bought this from said it's official and vintage from the 80's, anyone have any info or can confirm on this one?

It is official...embroidered on velvet...you can see the tiny "TM" stitched at the bottom right of the logo. Basically all music patches were made like this in the USA in the 80s (and early 90s)...nearly all of the woven patches back then were made in England, and not available in the USA.
