Iron Maiden - original vs bootleg - Somewhere on tour

First of all these bootlegs are great. I got them from ebay. They are very very high quality and the guy I got them from is really good to deal with. He is a very nice guy and his shipping prices are very fair.

I have put some side by side images so you can easily see the bootleg, just in case some people start selling them as original

Easy things to look for to know its a bootleg
- Brighter purple
- finer stitching
- Different spacing on the Iron Maiden logo
- Somewhere on tour text does not have spaces in it

Check the images to see what I am talking about

Picking this is a club at a gig would be very very hard to do. Nice job!

You could also upload back's pictures, they may be different.

Overally nice quality boot, though it will be easy to see which is which.

interesting post indeed, to forsee people spend loads of money on it, thinking it's original.
and yeah we all get it. Original patches are superior, always, the only thing is that they're hard soo hard to get ;(

The bootleg is a disgusting abomination, the logo from this as***le-bootleger really gives me eye-cancer.

The abomination: This bootlegger hasn't even tried to make the Patch look like the original, no, he used same fucked up font to make the logo and just for this patch, for some he made. A lot of people in the IMFC are really pissed because he is still claiming that these are some kind of vintage patches and people who don't know any better will fall for his bootlegs.
I don't have any more to say to this, but your original really kicks ass!

Does anyone really know this "original" one is official? It's in no merch katalog from the era and this border looks not like a 1986 border, rather like an 90s border or even later.

it was available from merch stands on tour. I the guy i got it from was selling a bunch of original patches, she said he got it from a live show in england. so I am guessing this is also "original" as far as I know

I've talked to both guys i got my Somewhere on Tour from. One got his in 86 and the other in 87. If i remember the SiT correctly back is same as SoT
Here's reply.
"About £1 or £2 back then, tour patches at gigs a little more but not a lot. I can't believe what they are worth now, crazy. I had an offer of £33 for the Maiden one later yesterday, no worries your offer still stands. Funny thing though, I put that patch on ebay 3 times about 4 years ago for £2.99 and it never sold."

Totally agree with Ysidro, I just noticed it as well.
I have to say, some of the bootlegs this Chinapatch man make are actually pretty nice. Look at this Raven one.

Can you do a Slayer RIB original and bootleg comparison?... I'm thinking of buying the bootleg cause it's so hard to get the original, and I'm not paying $80.00 dollars or more on the original
