Iron Maiden - 2 Minutes to Midnight - Transfer on Back Patch 1985

😱 I still can't believe I managed to add this rare and extremely beautiful 😍 back patch to my never ending collection πŸ€˜πŸ˜…πŸ€˜ The colors on this one are amazing and this is one of my favorite transfer-on designs out there. I'm so happy to have it as a back patch πŸ˜„
The design is much different from the 'original' back patch, and whereas the 'original' back patch is licensed at 1984, this transfer-on print is licensed on 1985.

Thanks mate! I was also amazed to see this back patch because I never even seen this particular transfer on print. The transfer on back patches are very rare and then to get one like this, in this condition, is amazing.

I had a chat with the person who sold them to me (old Metal store owner) and he told me that in the late 70's and beginning 80's transfer on prints were a major bootlegging thing on markets (at least in the UK). You could go to a stand, pick your print and they would press it on a shirt while you were waiting. Apparently Maiden tapped into this business by making actual licensed transfer on prints. Besides having them pressed on t-shirts, stores also had access to 'blank patches' so you could have them printed as a back patch.
I understood these transfer on prints are somewhat fragile and would damage more easily. I guess not so many of these beauties survived so I'm over the moon to have this one, and the Aces High, in mint condition.

Thanks Frankie! I think it's amazing too. The picture doesn't do justice to the colors. Those super bright in real life.

This one is super vibrant mate, a real eye catcher! It makes the woven one look like it’s been left to gather dust πŸ˜… A really nice alternative to the 84 version 🀘

Thanks mate! The 'original' 1984 back patch in the comparison picture below is already very colorful, but this transfer on print is so much brighter. I do like this one more than the original actually πŸ˜…
