Coroner "Mental Vortex" Purple Border MISPRINT???

Here's a strange one. The patch is in "well-used" condition, but it is all there--the problem lies in the fact that it looks to me like the last color thread, the light purple used to fill in the hands and face, looks to have not been applied to this patch, giving it a surreal sort of "Ghost" hands and face look. The backing has the "Made in England" and the copyright is as original so no doubt this IS an original, but what a strange mistake! Not a "misprint" but more of a "Mis-thread"? Certainly rare, but probably not that desirable due to the strange and surreal graphic. But this IS a patch collecting site, so I thought I would put it up for all to see here (anyone seen more like this?).

It is just damaged by time

haha--no, it's not--look closely at it and an original . There is exactly ONE color of thread missing. And if that ONE color of thread was to be put back in it would look perfectly normal. there is NO WAY that "time Damage" could make a particular thread in a woven patch disappear. I certainly have never seen an example of that. Compare side by side with this one, also used: http://tshirtslayer.com/patch/coroner-mental-vortex-patch But thanks for taking a look!

I had the same patch with black border, it was brand new when i bought, and eventualy was ruined to the condition like yours

Post a picture of it, I would like to see it! thanks

and it doesn't even have to be the SAME patch. Post ANY picture of ANY woven patch where the outline of the graphic has remained perfectly intact with no wear at ALL but the inside of the graphic is just NOT THERE. Would love to see a picture of that. Again. Find one--ANYWHERE-and post and I would be grateful! thanks again

Haha! I thought it was...interesting. I like it too. It's a good conversation starter. I've shown a couple of patch dudes in NYC and they were like, WTF??. At first they thought it was somehow worn out, and then they realize...yup, one of the threads just didn't go into the weave. You can really see that when you compare it side by side with a complete one. It IS worn, and it is WEIRD, but it certainly is not RUINED like ToT wants to think. It's just a very strange mis-woven patch. I've never seen anything like it, on ANY woven patch.

I saw this version once and I thought it was just fucked up or really dirty. Wow didn't know it ment to be this way . Can't say I like it but it's your patch anyway !

I had this exact one, but because of the damage, I gave it to a friend. It's not a misprint, it's definitely damaged.

it is a misprint, look VERY closely. IF you'd notice, only the one set of string is missing, and its borders are perfect to the other woven strings, meaning there had to be something in that black space.
