Played fantasy though. If i would start again i would probably either start 40K or another system like Warmachine or Kings of War.

I started with Fantasy, but here in the states 40k is much bigger. I play Black Templars and just started some Blood Angels.

Absolutely agree. Ironically, the staff member in my local Games Workshop precisely explained what i do not like about it himself actually: "It's much less rules now, and more fun and action! Everyone can just start immediately without turning thousands of rulebook pages." But that is exactly what i want from such a game .... Newcomers always could get into it without a problem before too....
More access for the price of less depth. And the models are way too bulky for my taste. Ah well.

Many people played and enjoyed it with the old rules, I agree, war games do not need less rules for the sake of gaining new fans. If one doesn't grasp the concept then they should play checkers. Cheers to Nater for the awesome patch!

Cheers to that. After all it is not the completely reduced thing, were You just toss around hexagons with numbers on it (which i could never get into, but i find it fascinating that there is a real hard core of fans of that very spartan way).

At they end of the day GW cares little for what the people who keep them afloat have to say. I mean look at the fall of Cadiea and kill team, trying to kill 40k in my opinion.

Yeah, reenactment season is coming up and I need to update some gear but these things keep popping up and I have to buy them in case I miss out and they end up 5 times as much in the aftermarket. Fucking stupid limited editions lol
