Quartz 50 Years of Rock
Woven Quartz patches produced by Skalpel badges and patches for their 50th anniversary year - sold for the first time at their hometown show at Birmingham's Asylum. A larger rectangular patch with either a gold, red, or silver border (I chose not to buy all 3 this time) encasing a really cool take on their Satan's Serenade single with the mirrored figure playing to the crowd in the flames. Quartz were amazing and I'm so delighted to have now seen them twice with Geoff Bate on vocals. Incredible to see them performing at such a high level at this age and a reminder that while we can think of Quartz as a NWOBHM band they far predate that movement.
