So as a follow up, which fanzine has that cool early ' Haunting The Chapel ' era pic of Kerry King ( standing with right hand on hip ) along with the centerfold of King and Hanneman ? Now I have to venture into the darkness to find one. It figures you would be the one to find such a collector's item. I see you're looking for that issue of ' Dark Tales ' # 1.
I got lucky with that one a short time ago. Hopefully you'll locate one soon. All you need now to complete your page here are those ever elusive Headbanger Fanzine centerfolds. All four of them. UGH !!!!!!

It's one of the very few items I have to keep me just barely afloat and treading water against your hurricane/tidal wave of SLAYER rarities! If I could have won at least that #5 Headbanger issue I might have been able to regain an ounce of integrity but I feebly went half way again and blew it yet a 2nd time- what a dunce! Might not see it again. Anyway, the issue is Havoc #3 from see Fazaland. Funny thing is, I mainly ordered it for the cover featuring Alan Johnson from Exciter not realizing what gems were awaiting inside.

Okay, I've been let out of custody. More on that later. Nice catch on that issue of Havoc # 3. I could imagine your reaction when you stumbled upon those Slayer images ? For sure It's always a win win when that happens. I always say if you can at least get one thing out of a zine, then It's not a total loss. As for losing out on those copies of Headbanger, it sure was a bittersweet moment for me. As I walked away with # 4, unfortunately you had a much different outcome. The Metal Godz will just have to toil a little harder making more available. Let's hope soon.

Man you know I flipped when I found old Frost AND Slayer centerfolds inside. I sent you a message almost immediately I was so stoked. One of my best scores ever as far as zines are concerned.
Yes I can't believe I blew it again on Headbanger #5. I guess I was hoping all the fuss was over and I could get it at a reasonable price like the Armored Saint issue. Hell, I think I won that issue for something like $13.

But definitely a few items still on the old want list in order to help me sleep at night. Plus a couple of posters "I used to have" that I either sold or gave away over the years. You know that whole thing where you decide you've finally outgrown all of this stuff and you get rid of some of it and then nostalgia kicks in and you start scratching your head saying "why the Hell did I sell that"?
