Darkthrone Panzerfaust LE LP

Limited edition number 0005 of 2000 reissue of DT’s 1995 album. I think many would agree that this stands as one of if not THE most barbaric and primitive recording ever produced by the band. All the instruments and all of the lyrics (save for track six, Quintessence) were created by Fenriz for this album, while Nocturno provided the gut-wrenching screams that literally shook the house as he recorded them. If you haven’t done so, I recommend you listen to the album with Fenriz’s commentary for some interesting insight into the album’s inception and concept. Something about this one, that from the moment I hear that wailing blizzard of guitars from En Vind Av Sorg... I just want to pack my leather jacket and some records and go relocate to an isolated patch of woods someplace. hEVILy nostalgic and hEVILy mesmerizing.
