Steve Vai Custom skate deck

Not exactly a metal item but thought I'd upload to see what some people think, My mate Scott and myself did a custom "swirled" skate deck, He has done the same to his bass guitar & drum kit and asked me if I wanted a deck done and I said fuck yeah! Steve Vai gets some of his guitars dome in a similar setup.

Thanks Doc!, Yeah my mate Scott and I have watched so many of those clips and some of the tips actually fail to be honest, It says to use Borax to break the surface tension we didn't use it and came out awesome! and we just used five dollar spray cans from Bunnings xD We tried metallic colours but they're just to thick even with a lot of thinners, My mate Scott has done a guitar, and his electronic drum kit, I have a picture of the drums I'll ask his permission to post it because looks fucking epic! as for clear coat he used a very expensive kick ass one they use on boats, He paints million dollar yachts for a living.

Cool skate deck, love the color choices and how it turned out. I took a guitar building class at the college I attend and we had a choice to swirl dip ours, I didn't because I've seen past students guitars that had dipped theirs and very few turned out cool, but that's my opinion. So I sprayed painted mine to make it look like stone (I'll post a pic of it later.) But I would like to see how his guitar and drums turned out and yours is kick ass.

Thanks mate! It is very touch and go whether or not the swirls work good and what not, This was our third or fourth go at it from memory, But once you get it right it looks fucking sweet! I'll upload pic of drums now.

You could do another one with blue paint instead and spray-paint the Morbid Angel logo on it. Instant Altars of Madness deck!
